How to decorate your Easter table with zing
The truth is, this Easter is going to look rather different to other Easters as most of us will be spending it at home with fewer relatives and friends than previous years. That doesn’t mean we can’t celebrate in style though! Whether you are feasting with family in person or via video, here’s some nifty tricks to decorate your Easter Table to get you into the festive spirit.
Pops of Colour
Now is the time to go crazy with colour, but pick a theme to keep it cohesive. If you want to have a pastel Easter, consider decorating your table with eggs dipped in baby blues and pinks and scatter your table with hydrangeas which are in season in April. If pastel isn’t your thing, maybe gold is. Well, have you heard about the goose that laid a golden egg?
Back to Nature
With most of us staying in our homes, why not try and bring nature inside? Go for a walk and find different colours, shapes and sizes of leaves and flowers you can decorate your table with. Scatter these in a random fashion in the middle of the table, then grab some lemons for a pop of colour and to keep the natural theme going. Layer the top with branches and white flowers to go with the greenery and yellow. Finish off the table with some linen napkins to bring home the theme. If you’ve got kids at home, hiding mini Easter eggs within these branches can be a cute activity to keep the kids occupied.
Have Fun
Just have fun with your table decor. Buy Easter eggs in varying sizes, and stack them on coloured boxes to give your table some volume. You can also build on the table and add some rainbow lollipops and confetti to make it look like a candy wonderland, even if it is just a meal for adults. If you’re going to be alone during this time, get your friends and family on Zoom and try out different Easter themed backgrounds.
